Platts has announced that the outlook for orders and prices for steel in China has rebounded strongly in August due to expectations for an increase in domestic demand over the next month. The total new orders scored 55.1 out of a possible 100 points for August, compared to July’s reading of 26.5 points for the China Steel Sentiment Index (CSSI).
